about

'Quicksilver' reflected my (then) current position in an ongoing exploration of a sonic aesthetic I had been spending time with for the previous few years in both my solo work and the group project Endgame: rich, crystalline, harmonically complex tones and sounds, evoking the tactile essence of metal and glass, solid and liquid.
Whereas my previous album 'Heart of Glass' explored the darker, harsher end of this spectrum, 'Quicksilver' inhabits a lusher, more resonant world, although in many instances this is too demanding on the listener’s attention to be classed as truly ambient music.
