As 2018 drew to a close I had been itching to improvise more material for the 'Progressions' series and so this album is the third installment, again recorded in a single session. This series is particularly close to my affections, consisting entirely of intuitive improvisations for loop delay systems, with all humanity in performance left intact.

Cover painting: "Drift" by my dear friend Carolyn "Cassie" La Reux (1969-2014) to whom I wish to express thanks, not just for the image but much more besides.

The track titles were inspired by my dear friend and musical collaborator julian Broadhurst's ten poetic moments under the title Progressions which became the titles for the first two volumes in this series of albums. Just as his titles were intended to stand alone and also form an eleventh poem when put together, these of my own are intended to do likewise and also with great respect and deference form a possible continuation in their fluid narrative. They were also inspired by "Drift", Cassie's beautiful cover image inspired by the wilds of her native New South Wales. I miss her.
